Synopsis

As an Ithacan Australian Pete Andrews (aka Pangiotis Anagnostatos) has spent most of his adult life searching for his true identity. Now at the age of 64 he returns to the island of his ancestors with his good friend, the renowned Jungian psychotherapist and best selling author Dr Peter O’Connor with whom he shares a love of Homer’s The Odyssey.  For both men this 3,000 year-old poem is a story about the archetypal theme of returning to our authentic selves – our nostos. The two friends travel through the mythical and geographical landscape of Greece with Odysseus on his ten-year journey home from the battlefields of Troy to his kingdom of Ithaca. It is a journey to nostos for Odysseus, for Pete and for all of us.
